In developing a digital trail camera that would be reliable in unforgiving environments our design goal was to make it as simple as possible for the manufacturer and the user. For the manufacturer, the electronics were condensed to a dual sided board enclosed in housing with one sealable seam. To ensure protection against the outdoor elements, we designed an additional seal over the interior housing and interface with an access door. For the user, the interface was designed to be simple and intuitive to operate, even when used with gloved hands.
