1508 is located in downtown Kansas City adjacent to Retro Inferno, Encompas and the Power and Light District. The design solution for the shell renovation capitalizes on the strong connection the building has to the street life by recessing the lower level retail tenant entry and large second floor balcony. Views of the Sprint Arena and the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be a unique aspect of the balcony. The third floor condo will have roof access for a green roof and views of the city. Design decisions were made to utilize high efficiency systems, natural light and outdoor spaces for a sustainable adaptive reuse approach.
